Dr. Sergio Cuevas

Dr. Cuevas is a Rio Grande Valley native, first-generation college graduate, and an individual with hearing loss. He holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in rehabilitation counseling. He previously worked for eight years with the Texas Workforce Commission-Vocational Rehabilitation Services department as a vocational rehabilitation counselor where he assisted individuals with disabilities prepare for and obtain gainful employment. He continues to help, mentor, and advocate for individuals with disabilities. Currently, he serves as the Assistant Director of Career Services and Adjunct Lecturer of Interdisciplinary Studies at The University of New Orleans. He is a member of HLAA and a mentor for Latinas in Tech.
